A recent Nokia Lumia 920 TV spot from Netherlands carrier KPN Mobiel and spotted by My Nokia Blog shows a curious yellow handset at the five second mark, and after squinting for a bit we're still not sure what we're seeing. It's obviously not a 920, and it doesn't match any other existing models that we can remember. Our mobile experts noticed that it vaguely resembles the Nokia Lumia 822 from US carrier Verizon, but the headphone nub, camera pod position and tapered design don't match that model -- which also appears to be smaller than the one pictured above. Could the Finnish carrier be holding out on us until a certain event happening soon? Or is it some kind of Dutch variant of the 822? We've no idea, but if any of you do, we're sure you'll let us know below. You can scope the video after the fold.

(Credit: CNET Crave U.K.)Google plans to open its own retail stores across the United States, according to a new report, giving the increasingly hardware-focused company a place to show off its growing number of physical products.
Citing "an extremely reliable source," 9to5Google says the company "hopes to have the first flagship Google Stores open for the holidays in major metropolitan areas."
The report says Google accelerated plans to build physical stores because customers are unlikely to buy expensive hardware, including the upcoming Google Glass, without first having a chance to try it for free.
Google already has set up Chrome mini-stores inside U.S. Best Buy locations and electronic retailers in the United Kingdom. From the start, those stores have prompted speculation that Google will open a full-scale retail presence. Google Stores could help bolster the company's brand image, showcase new products, and win over Android skeptics.Still, Google is on the record denying any move into retail. In December, Google Shopping head Sameer Samat told All Things D that the company "had no aspirations to open a store."
"We aren't planning on being a retailer," he said. "We don't view being a retailer right now as the right decision."
CNET has contacted Google for comment and will update this post if we hear back.

The University of Missouri School of Law is hosting a Symposium on February 22, 2013, called Promoting Sustainable Energy through Tax Policy. ?Sponsored by the Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Law?and the Missouri Tax Law Society, the event will be introduced by Mizzou profs Michelle Arnopol Cecil and our own guest blogger Troy Rule, and features panels with Alexandra Klass (Minnesota), Steve Gaw (The Wind Coalition), Felix Mormann (Miami), Roberta Mann (Oregon), Robert Peroni (Texas), with a keynote by David Weisbach (Chicago). ?Here's the info and link:
Renewable energy and sustainable development are valuable means of combatting climate change and of reducing the nation?s reliance on foreign energy sources. Recognizing the importance of sustainable energy, state and federal policymakers have employed aggressive tax incentive programs to stimulate unprecedented growth in wind energy, solar energy, biomass, green building, and related industries in recent years. Unfortunately, shortfalls in many state budgets and growing concerns about the national debt are now creating pressure for governments to extinguish these tax programs ? a move that could bring progress in the nation?s fledgling sustainable energy sector to a grinding halt.
This year?s?Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Law?symposium is being sponsored jointly with the University of Missouri Tax Law Society. The symposium explores questions about the long-term role of tax policy as a tool for promoting renewable energy and sustainability in the United States.
The symposium is free and open to the public.
Registration is suggested by Friday, February 15.

This week, WWE Classics and Greatest Matches present the final installment of Five-Star Match of the Week. For four months, we?ve asked Superstars in the WWE locker room to select one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time, and WWE.com brings you that full-length match, uncut.
Two men seem to dominate the modern-day landscape of WWE: The Rock and Brock Lesnar. The current WWE Champion shocked fans when he re-emerged as the WrestleMania host in 2011, and Lesnar elicited a similar reaction upon his return 10 months ago. Over the past year, they have both clashed with John Cena in equally epic encounters. But it was more than 10 years ago that Lesnar and The Brahma Bull first faced off with each other. (MORE ROCK)
SummerSlam 2002 marked the final step in Brock?s stunning ascent to the top of the squared circle?s ranks. But when WWEClassics.com attempted to speak with Paul Heyman about the classic main event, he was none too pleased with how we phrased our question.
?First of all, I disagree with the designation that it?s The Rock vs. Brock,? Lesnar?s longtime agent asserted. ?It is Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock. Brock deserves top billing. And he deserves top billing because he won the match.?
Indeed he did. And not by virtue of cheating, Heyman was quick to remind us.
?[Brock] did not win the match with outside interference,? the mad scientist of sports-entertainment said. ?In fact, The Rock hit me with a Rock Bottom through a table. I was not an equation.? (MORE HEYMAN)
After debuting in WWE on the night after WrestleMania X8, Lesnar ran roughshod over the entire roster, annihilating the competition and cementing his status as a legitimate threat to any competitor. Three months later, the massive rookie won the King of the Ring Tournament to earn an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. (MORE BROCK)
The People?s Champion defeated Hulk Hogan on the night prior to Lesnar?s debut, but did not compete much over the next several months. One month before SummerSlam, at Vengeance, however, The Rock won his seventh WWE Championship, setting up the inevitable confrontation with the newly minted King Lesnar.
?Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock cleanly to become the Undisputed WWE Champion,? Heyman reminded us. ?And in doing so, he put his boot on the neck of The Attitude Era and anointed himself the new reigning monarch of the WWE Universe.?
Today, the landscape is much different, but Brock and Rock have maintained their dominance. Each warrior can lay claim to being revered by foes and friends alike, but only one scenario can determine who the better man is: a rematch.

Overly salted food activates the taste cells that sense sourness and bitterness, sending unpleasant signals to the brain. Sophie Bushwick reports.

Too little salt makes for a bland meal. But too much is offensively briny. Now, scientists have discovered why too much tastes bad. The work is in journal Nature. [Yuki Oka et al, High salt recruits aversive taste pathways]
As the previous podcast noted, the cells that process taste send a unique signal to the brain for each kind of flavor. The signals for sweet and umami make animals crave more, while sour and bitter are often rejected. But saltiness is appealing in low doses and aversive at high levels. The researchers found out why: too much salt activates the cells that sense sourness and bitterness, sending unpleasant signals to the brain and transforming a tasty bite into a turn-off.
The study used mice unable to taste sourness, bitterness, or both. Animals that could still sense one of the flavors rejected overly salty water. But mice unable to taste sour and bitter were happy to lick up liquid that was far too briny for normal animals.
With salt being a variable flavor, our bodies can better keep its levels within a healthful range. And leave a good taste in the mouth.
